yes definately, i had my first scan at 16 weeks (didn't know i was pregnant, silly me) and she told me i was having a boy.
Drink lots of water before you go as it makes the picture clearer.
i was about ready to burst i drank so much but the picture was so clear and it was worth it.
Congratulations on becoming a mummy, your gonna love it!
Good luck honey x x

Yes they should be able to tell. The only draw back would be if the baby wont cooperate and turn towards the front. They spend about 40 minutes doing the ultrasound, and will continue on and go back to check the sex if they have trouble getting the baby to turn for them.
Good luck, just a few more weeks and hopefully you will know!

You have a great chance finding out whether your baby will be a boy or a girl at your ultrasound. Your baby's parts have already been formed. It is just a matter of your baby being in a good position to see them. My son was not shy when I had my first ultrasound.

My 20 week ultrasound is tomorrow. Hoping to find out the sex. With my first 2 I found out the sex and it was right. Good luck and hope you get what you want.

I had to work like crazy NOT to find out during either of my pregnancies.
At 20 weeks it wasn't so hard; I'm sure the ultrasound tech could tell, but she knew we didn't want to know and we couldn't make anything out, so it was OK. But I had weekly, and sometimes MORE than weekly, non-stress tests and biophysical profiles during the last weeks of both pregnancies. (Preeclampsia.) So we had many, many chances to look. Luckily, they run out of room eventually and then it's hard to see all the bits and pieces again, so we were spared!

Chances are pretty good. They told me at 19 wks with my daughter. If you have a good ultrasound tech, you should be able to find out. Congrats!

Yes, because most people find out at about 16 weeks! That's when I found out!

why did you wait so long? You can find out at 13 weeks. yes you should be able to find out as long as the baby isn't turned the other way.

yeah, we've been able to with both of our children at 20 weeks. But we've been told that it just depends on the way the baby is sitting.

yes definetly, but you just better hope that your little one lets himself/herself be seen. Some baby's have their legs crossed and will not open up. Luckily my doctor asked me to turn sideways and moved around my baby and we were able to see. Make sure you ask and specify that you want to know the sex.
BY THE WAY I'M HAVING ANOTHER GIRL! Good Luck!
