Anyone study international relations?

Question

I'm studying journalism in college and I want to travel the world for both business and pleasure. I'm thinking of minoring in international relations. Anyone out there have a degree in international relations? If so what kind of work can you get with it?

My interdisciplinary studies degree was similar to this sort of degree. Although I don't do it now, consulate work would be possible, although the specific degree is not required. There are, obviously, many other possible jobs, but this is just what I immediately think of...
