Going to the city on Saturday and I found this awesome Kimono top to wear that night. But wondering what color eye shadow to wear. I have a Mac glitter eye shadow that is aqua, just wondering if thats TOO MUCH going on there with that color... Or any other color suggestions.... Thanks inadvance.

If you want to go funky, wear the shadow. It would be outrageous and gorgeous, especially for NY or Philly or something like that. If you want the top to make the statement do a fushia eyeliner with a pink shadow. Fierce top by the way. If your going somewhere like NY and are good make up. Do the teal color with the fushia accent in the corners. If you do it right, it'll be hot! .... I just sketched it in MS Paint, if you want, I'll send it to you. It may be too late now, but it would be good for future reference!

All fashion & make up artistes always say NEVER match your eye shadow to your clothes but honestly sometimes I think it looks good. I say go with the aqua but dont over do it. Don't let it be the primary colour your going with just use it as an accent or a highlight. Seeing its a kimono like top u should go with asian look and do dramatic eyes with maybe liquid eyeliner and a "smoke" look

My personally think that to match your eyeshadow with clothes is wrong...and it can tend to look TOO MUCH as you put it. I say try matching your eyes or go with some neutral tones. If you want your eyes to pop when you go out at night try some eyeliner. Also you could always experiment before you go out and see what looks best. But no matter what everyone on here says you need to do what you like. Because if you try something and don't like it, you wont feel comfortable and it will be harder to have a fun time

If your going for a dramatic power look then i say use the aqua eyeshadow, but if you want to draw attension to your overall look and not just your eyes then i said just play up your eyes with some eyeliner, mascara and a smokey eyeshadow look, using pinks and brown.

I would say match your eyeshadow with your eye color (a shade that compliments)...this way it brings out your eyes and doesn't look like too much.

i think if u r going out at night then go with the matching eye shadow with a bit of a smokey eye very sexy yet elegant

No, it's better to use your eyeshadow to bring out your eyes, not the color of your clothes.
