Brokeback mountain was the best film but c'mon would the academy ever vote for a "gay western"? I mean the gay men in this film didnt even have AIDS...I'm surprised it got the oscar for best director!

I actually would have accepted any of the nominees EXCEPT Crash. The dialogue in that movie was awful. I've never heard more contrived little speeches in my life. My favorites of the five were Good Night and Good Luck and Capote.

I think they all deserved what they got. I saw Crash when it first came out on dvd and knew it would win best picture. before I saw crash though I thought Cinderella Man was gonna take it.

The Geisha movie was better than the critics said it was. I thought some of the art work was fantastic.
