I'm flying into Seatle for a day, then need to get to Vancouver port, to catch a cruise ship!

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO TRAVEL FROM Seatle to Vancouer Port.

We have until 2:00 PM to catch the boat the next day?

I was thinking, taxi to train to taxi to ship is best, what do you think?

How is the view from the train and how long will everything take?

train service in north america is not great (I have not taken it so I do not know for sure) and I don't know how close the train station is to where you need to catch your ship

I have driven back and forth between Seattle and Vancouver though, it is a nice drive

Amtrak offers passenger service between Vancouver and Seattle. This route is one of Amtrak's most popular. There is one round trip train each day.

The Amtrak train departs Seattle at 7:45 AM from the Amtrak station at 303 S. Jackson Street and arrives in Vancouver at 11:40 AM at Vancouver's Pacific Central Station, 1150 Station Street.

Amtrak departs Vancouver at 6:00 PM and arrives in Seattle at 9:55 PM. The fare is US$40 and up per person depending on the time of year.

En route, the train stops to pick up passengers at Edmonds, WA, Everett, WA, Mt Vernon-Burlington, WA and Bellingham, WA. Contact Amtrak for more information: 1-800-872-7245.

You'd actually be better taking a bus to Vancouver. The terminal is downtown, and you can hop a cab from there. The train is nice, but a lot of the trackway goes through cuts and all you'll see is high cement walls. The train station is also in the downtown area -- not far to the docks from either the train or the bus terminal.
Incidentally, it's spelled Seattle.
Give yourself a little extra time for the border crossing. You never know what's going on there!

There is a great Service by bus from Seattle to VAncouver ... you'll need to board the ship no later than 4pm (most cruises leave at 5pm ~ check your documents) .. the shuttle company is called Quick Shuttle .. here's the link

you should also be able to buy a transfer from your Cruise company.

You could rent a car and drive.
You could take the greyhound bus, and then take either a taxi or the Skytrain to the port- it would be about $15 CDN for a cab, or $2.25 each for the Skytrain.
Amtrax might be a bit more comfortable, but more expensive than the bus.
