You don't get in touch with a record label. They hardly sign bands these days. Now, it's usually the indie labels that do the signing and the majors who do the administration. My suggestion is to play a lot of shows for awhile, and get in touch with a manager first. And you definitely need a press kit or they won't even bother with you.
