~the alternator helps you shift between gears whether you are doing it manually or the car is doing it automatically. when the engine gets to a certain number of rotations per minute the alternater kicks in and enables shifting.

The carburetor regulates moisture in the engine. It controls gas flow and alerts you when you are low on oil.

Altenator is driven by (usually) a drive belt that runs off a pulley that is postioned on the end of the crank shaft. The alternator charges the battery of a car, which ensures that the vehicle can be started again using the starting motor. Alternator also provides power for ancillary equipment such as stereo, electric windows etc.
The carburretor, which is not often found on modern vehicles which usually have an injection system, is a conduit for supplying the appropriate quantity of air and fuel mixture to the engine to allow sound combustion.
This is determined by the position of the accelerator and the position if the 'choke'.
Choke is a flap positioned in the carb which restricts the air flow in to the engine. This is used in cold conditions where efficient combustion requires a higher composition of fuel compared to air.
I hope this helps a bit mate

The alternator makes the car run with a supply of power. The car does not run off of the battery, rather it starts with the battery after that the alternator keeps everything powered and charges the battery.

Now the carburettor is on older cars without fuel injection. The carburetor mixes air into the gas so the gas can ignite. Gas is not extremely flammable without being a vapor. The vapor is highly flammable.

The alternator is like a little generator that keeps the electrical system and battery charged, the carburetor takes the fuel from the gas tank and mixes in the correct amount of air for it to be "exploded" inside the engine.

The alternator generates electricity to recharge the battery and run the cars electrical system. The carburator mixes the air and fuel which gets injected into the cylinder. Newer cars just about all have fuel injection which eliminates the carburator. Air/Gas is what combusts in the cylinder and drives the pistons....

Alternator - Charges the battery and runs the electrical system.
Carburator - Mixes gas and air to the engine to provide combustion.

the alternator basically charges a cars battery while it is running, the carburetor combines the fuel with the oxygen and sprays it into the cylinders of the engine.
