I just completed my junior year and anticipating all of the senior activities, such as prom. I looked at some of the senior dresses this year. I want something prissy, puffy, and princess-ish, and instead I've been seeing A LOT of cabaret style dress with cuts here and cuts there. It's really tacky too me, and NOT acceptable for prom. Do you(fellow teens, parents of teens, anyone) agree?

I'm a mother of three who's in the beginning stage of opening a small shop where you can have the fashions you like. for years now I've had teens come to me with drawing of dresses that they have designed and want to wear. because they want to be different we are all special in different ways. what you like another may not. but thank god we have a choice! so when it's time for your Prom and you can't find what suits you, find a seamstress and tell her what you want, and be proud of who you are. be a beautiful princess stand out in a crowd!

I personally think proms are very overrated. All you do is dance. Save the sophisticated parties for when you leave schoolio, you'll be able to savour the elegance like a true connoisseur.

I am going to be a junior this year and even though I've never been to prom I still think it probably has lost its elegance.

Yes! The dresses are not as elegant anymore!!! The dresses are getting shorter and shorter!--and they add those little strings at the bottom that flap around, you know? It's not cool!

Yes! I saw some dresses and they were glitzy, show offish items that I would never, ever, wear.
