My two big toes have a yellow like discoleration in them. I was reading about it and it said it could happen from not using a base coat, but I have never had a problem with that before. What can I do to make the yellowish discoleration go away?

My toes aren't cracking or anything, and I don't have fungus or anything like that.

Discoloration could be two things. Either staining from polish like reds or pinks. Or a fungus. If it is from polish you can simply buff the stain off ( but not too much buffing, you can easily burn a hole through your nail ). If it is a fungus you'll need to see a doctor as a fungus needs a prescription to cure, they come form the inside out so an over the counter med will not help. I am a licensed manicurist.

That's going to have to grow out. It IS from not using a basecoat IF your nails aren't flaking, cracking, thickening from nail fungus. Otherwise, I suggest some Lamisil.
