A gay friend of mine told me that he used to play with G I Joes when he was little. He thinks that's what made him gay, but he's not sure.

What do you think? Did you play with G I Joes?

PS: ... oh s h i t ... I just remembered I played with Barney and Snoopie... ;)

No I'm not against gay people whatsoever, I have many gay friends. I was just wondering if there's any cause and effect that can relate the playing of toys to sexual preference.

Gay people are COOLER than straight people by far!!

OK I agree with everybody that sexual orientation is born with. So the question now is, did playing with G I Joes made you prefer muscular men to effeminate men? My friend likes muscular men by the way.

I played with GI Joe when I was growing up but so did my best friend and He is as straight as an arrow . Nothing can make you gay you are born gay . Sexual orientation is determined before birth and no one can choose to be gay or straight . Nothing can make them gay or straight . A straight man can't decide he is gay and change his attraction for women and a gay man can't decide he is straight and change his attraction for men .

Playing with GI Joe toys will not make you gay. It might indicated an attraction to strength within the character. GI Joe is the symbol of pure male virility. I am extremely attracted to that myself. It could also indicate a relation to the mans intrinsic ability to protect and defend. It does not in any way indicate a sexual orientation or preference. Beauty, style, finess, character is in the eyes of the beholder.

I played with GI Joe's when i was a kid and that didn't make me gay. I played with a lot of things, I don't think it has anything to do with the development of a child's sexuality.

I actually did have G.I. Joes as well as Muscle Men, star war toys from the original series and Heman! I know what casued me to turn gay and it had nothing to do with toys. All my other brothers played with the same action figures and they are all straight.

i played with gi joe but i know other gay guys that didnt there must not be a cause and effect relationship because gay men and women have been around much longer than that particular toy line.

One, I'm a woman, two, I'm not gay.

Who DIDN'T play with G.I joes when they were young? That is the question you should be asking. I know many poeple who did. Theyr'e not gay..and a little action figure or toy cnannot makr you gay. It's psychological.

i didn't play with GI Joe. i played with Batman and monster toys mostly. GI Joe never really interested me. anyway, toys don't make your sexual orientation. you might as well say that music makes you gay or straight, because it's ridiculous.

Nope, whatever childhood toys you played with have nothing to do with who you fall in love with. They may change what kind of girl or guy you like but not which sex or sexes. Nothing "turns" you gay, just like there is no "cure" because there is nothing to cure.
