It will be inside the gas tank to keep it lubricated and cool. I'm sure that automotive engineers could have developed a system to keep it lubed up and cool, rather than just sticking it in the tank, but they didn't, so now it is a pain in the a$$ for us to change it.

Fuel pumps for cars and trucks are usually inside the gas tank.
Go to the library and look up a Chiltons repair manual.

I can't say for sure and we may need the year to find out, but I believe it is inside the gas tank.

if you can't find it by tracing the full line then it may be inside the fuel tank. good luck
