While you can operate a vehicle without a title (unlike what another person indicated, you only need a registration and the license plates that go with it) the vehicle will be difficult at best to sell. If you own the vehicle, file for a lost title and the licensing department should be able to get you a replacement. If the title is being held by a loan company, first you should contact them and let them know you are planning to sell. You should ask them about there requirements for releasing title to a buyer and the turn-around time you can expect.

Titles are a tricky thing. If you can prove ownership, AND the DMV does not come up with a stolen cylcle alarm, you can get a new title, or at worst, a salvage title. IF you get a salvage title, the bike will NEVER be worth much, as a salvage title cannot get comprehensive insurance, only liability insurance. Salvage titles indicate the bike has been totalled, and then restored...sort of a shaky thing with cycles. Good luck

Go to the local DMV and apply for a salvage title like the junkyards do. Just show a proof of ownership and you will have a title in a few weeks. If you have an old registration with your name on it, this will help a lot. If not ask the DMV what you need to claim ownership or ask a salvage yard how to apply for one.

It depends. Why no title? If it isn't stolen and has been discharged or charged off by the finance company you would have to prove that with whatever paperwork you do have. You can sell it also to someone wanting to part it or use it for racing/track. What is the mileage? I would say off what you said around $4,000.00 tops. Good luck.

Well, if I was you, I wouldn't sell it, because you could get into some big trouble with the police. But a new title. And when you did I would say around 2,000. But buy a title first!

Break it up into all of it's component parts and sell them all on eBay - then toss the frame into a dumpster somewhere. You should do all right, but all that shipping is going to be a pain in the butt.

Cheers!
