where I can categorize warranty issues by name, sub-contractor, subdivision, address, lot number...whatever I happen to be looking for. Something that I can add a lot of detail and info to, something with a calender and reminders...
Must be compatible with Windows XP...
...is there such a thing made?? If so, please let me know where I can find it! I'm fairly computer illiterate...! But it can be complex, I learn quickly. Any help would be great!

You need a database. There may already be a database front-end for managing the pieces of information you have a need to track, but without a better idea of your needs, I'll lead with the general suggestion that you look at Microsoft Access, which is part of Microsoft's Office suite. You should be able to purchase this at any halfway decent office supplier or software retailer.
Access will allow you to design your own warranty tracking system, though it has a fairly steep learning curve for someone who considers themselves computer illiterate.
GOOD LUCK!
UPDATE: take the offer above to have it made for you for 10 points. Access developers start at around $25/hour, so this sounds like a deal to me.

I agree you'll be needing a database. Now I recomend doing this off the internet because all you'd need is just a MySQL database (free) and PHP (free) I can code one for you that works with the net, but I don't realy know enough C++ yet to code you a program, but I could get you the net one ready within 30 minutes.
If you want me to code you one just e-mail me at

I don't know if anything like this exists, but the with website "Rent-A-Coder" you can hire a programmer to build the software you want to your specifications.
You post a job, and computer programmers bid on the job, and you pick the best proposal (money, experience, etc...) and they will either make you and app, or help you find and setup an app.

MS Office Access, Outlook, Excell...it's basically a all in one time of programming that will interact with each other...Excell will take care of the money and figures part, Access takes care of the inventory, and Outlook takes care of all your contacts and detail info on them...

try ACT! - it's worth the money and easy to learn, although you might need someone to make all the field settings
