Double click the clock at the bottom click the Internet time tab, then tick the box that says Automatically sycronize with Internet time server...That will keep it on time...

Even if the system is new, the battery could be failing. You never know how long it was on the shelf before it was put in the computer. Change the battery and see if that solves your problem.

Next time, get a Mac. They're easier to troubleshoot.

Replace the battery on the motherboard...and be VERY VERY VERY careful !!! You can find them at any location that sells watch batteries...or just go to Radio Shack.

UPDATE: Just because it is new doesn't mean the battery cannot be old....most of the motherboards sit and sit before being put together!!!

it rather is probably desiring a clean BIOS battery. this is often a small silver button variety contemporary in watches, calculators etc (so extremely low-fee). it rather is probably to be a discomfort to interchange in a pc, because of the fact it would desire to be in the back of some thing else (memory or tense force) and may even require a modicum of rewiring the contacts from the previous battery.

Sounds like you have something trying to overide your daylight savings time. Make sure you have your time zone set correctly and you may want to uncheck the Automatically adjust your clock for daylight savings
