There's a product called either Scratch Doctor or Disc Doctor...something like that, where you use it to help get the scratches out and your CD's will play smoother. My brother used it on his cd's and they worked so much better!!

if u want to remove scratches for better results from the cd you should spread some toothpaste on the cd and clean the cd from the inner portion to the outer portion. it is agreed by all experts that toothpaste is far better than alcohol for cleaning cd's

You can use toothpaste to remove scratches.
However,

DO NOT RUB IN A CIRCLE

Use the toothpaste and work it from the inside out. If you go in a circle, you may mess up the CD. (It's something about the lazers being reflected)

Use some tooth paste then put some scotch tape over it but make sure you get all the bubbles out or it wont work.
