A hot water bottle when you are home & for when you are in work/out shopping etc, you can use one of those little hand warmers. They keep warm for a long time & you can put it against your body using your belt (or whatever) and it really works.
Ibrubrofen is suposed to slow the bleeding down as well as take away the pain but I would prefer not to rely on medication.
Good luck - it's not easy being female!!

There are products available especially for period pain at your chemist, they will always advise you. Take a warm bath and rest with a warm hot water bottle on your tummy. Sometimes light exercise helps. Everyone is different and they have different pain thresholds. Try different things and keep a diary to see what combination works best for you.

Try Therma Care Patches (wal mart $5) and Midol.... If you have a constant problem, to where every single month the pain is so bad it keeps you from eating, going out, or haveing daily life you can ask your gynecologist for medicine. (It's really not that scarey)
Good luck

I'm not female and this is *not* a stupid comment, but my partner assures me that if cramps are bad, then there is another all-natural, no side-effects remedy. Easing the tension while you ease *other* tension can sometimes help, ie gentle masturbation, not necessarily to orgasm. I'm convex rather than concave so I'm not entitled to my own opinion, but that's hers...

Go for a nice long hot bath, take a couple of painkillers and get back into bed sleep for a day and hopefully it will be gone...
but if you are at work when you are in pain, take the painkillers

(1) Ease up on the cold stuff - drinks with ice; frozen anything.
(2) Remember stress makes things worse. Try meditation; relaxation, anything to help you find your "happy place".

Caffeine makes your cramps worse. I am not sure about these people saying don't drink cold stuff. Coffee, sodas, and chocolate need to be at a minimal.
