What do you wish to have? esthetics or a workable floor space. Seems like you are looking at a bit of both. Do you own or rent? If you own you can do it many different ways. It all depends on the word exposure. What you use must hold up to wet conditions. Rain, snow or kids. They can all cause damage. If you take this into consideration the options slowly weigh themselves out and make certain applications not weather proof. You can redeck with Trex, an engineered wood substitute. Indoor/ outdoor carpeting or even tile or vinyl flooring. The choice is yours

Sometimes you get better wood if you can find a lumber pr planing mill in the area.

I'd steer clear of the Menard's, Home Depot and Lowe's - no offense, but I don't trust their lumber for important projects.

Any major lumberyard in your area should have this in stock, it's not rare. If not, they will be able to order it for you with no problem.
