I thought this was worse when I was a teenager, but since i stopped the pill I have noticed the general physical pain is affecting me even more, mood swings are worse, I fell more tired, ultra sensitive and susceptible as well. Ubuprofen seems to be a temporary cure but it doesn't improve my mood. What do girls you do that works for you?

I would try going back on the pill. The way you are feeling is the exact reason I started the pill and since then my periods have been much better. If that doesn't work pamper yourself-take a bubble, watch a chick flick or eat your favorite ice cream. It wont do anything medically for you but I always find it to help.

I usually have a rice bag, you can makes one yourself using an old sock and some cooked rice, next to my bed in my nightstand. You do have to heat the pack in the microwave for about 4 mintutes. If you put that on your lower back you are more likely going to relieve pain. No matter what any one says, having sex is the worst thing to do when your having your period. It's just to bloody. EWWW!

Aleve is great for pain. As for moodiness, I just deal with it.
