I want to have babies so badly and this will be my third month trying. I've always been obsessed with having babies and I've been told that if you stress out about it, that it can keep you from getting pregnant. It is so much easier said than done though! How do I keep from stressing so much? Also has anyone ever stressed so much about it that they actually missed their period? It's like because I want to be pregnant so badly that my body tricks me into believing it is....Any tips on destressing will help!

My Friend has been trying to get pregnant since January. Her husband has been in collage and just graduated and was having a hard time finding a job and she has been very stressed there has been 2 different months where she had no period and got so excited just to take the test and learn that she in fact wasn't pregnant. Me on the other hand only actually tried to conceive one of my 3 children and it took me 4 months but I used a ovulation chart that I found on line because I also had some health problems (not to worry they would have no effect on the baby) so because of my health problems I had a harder time getting pregnant.
My advise go on line search for ovulation charts and have some fun. Relax and fool around with your man while you can because once baby comes sex will have to be scheduled around the baby's naps.
Good Luck

First of all, TRY NOT TO STRESS! The more stress you go through and the more you think about it, the less likely it is to happen. Yes, stressing so badly can make you miss a period. Stress is the worst thing when trying to get pregnant. You have to be patient and it will happen. Buy an ovulation detector and have sex like 3 days before you ovulate all the way through the day after you ovulate. Try putting a pillow under your hips - that will help glide the sperm up to your fallopian tube where your egg is waiting. Lay down for at least ten minutes after sex so the semen does not leak out right away. Good Luck!

I have been trying to conceive for 13 months, so I know what it feels like. 3 months really is not long at all to be trying. My suggestion would be to set a date for yourself (I suggest at least 6 months out), and decide that if you're not pregnant by that date, then you'll go get testing done. That gives you 6 months of not stressing about it, and a plan in case it doesn't happen. Good luck!

Everything you said was true. And it usually takes average couple at least six months to conceive if nothing is wrong with either one of them. However if you are overweight. If you lose some weight (even just 10 lbs in some cases). You will have a better chance of losing weight. It worked for my friend. Now she has two beautiful children. Good Luck.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

i suggest yoga. i think that the mind-body connection is powerful and if you learn how to breath it will destress you and actually make you more connected to your body. i enjoy yoga emmensly, and i just do the DVD in the privacy of my own home. it is relaxing and the stretches are wonderful. good luck and maybe try meditation too!!!!

One way to not stress is to get your mind off of trying to get pregnant by going on vaction or getting involved in charity work. Volunteer at your local children's hospital or a children's orphanage.
