I am supposed to start my period tomorrow. I have been trying to conceive for about 3 months now. I took a pregnany test Fri and it came back positive (first response) almost immedantly. I went ahead and took two more of the EPT they both read positive. What are the chances of all three being false positive?? I know I should go to the Dr and I am but I want want to ask some of yall. I want this really bad and I don't want to be heartbroken. I am on no meds either. I just want to know likelyhood og being preggers or not....

Congratulations... very very unlikely.... most women have false negative due to a low amount of HCG in your system. If you have that much hcg this early you are most definitely pregnant

I also took three pregnancy tests to make sure that I was pregnant. The first one was a cheap one and the other two were the first response. My nurse told me it was very very unlikely that all three tests would be a false positive. If it was a false positive then one of the tests would have been negative, but the best thing to do is to go to your doctor and get a blood test. When i did, i found out for sure and have been nothing but excited and nauseous ever since. Good Luck and Congrats!

3/3 is a good chance they arent lying. First response is usually the better of them to try out first, just b/c of them having the hormone detector thing in them that most others dont have. But, if you took all 3, and they all came back positive, I think there is reason to smile. Make a doctors appt just to be 100% sure, and that way you can begin to start your prenatal vitamins and all the other good stuff. And if it does turn out your tests are correct, congratulations. :)

Congrats to you, I think you are definitely pregnant. False positives rarely happen and only on the event that one just had a miscarriage, is breastfeeding, or just delivered a baby - and since none of those things apply to you, then you are most definitely pregnant. Especially cause you have been trying to conceive, the likelihood of getting pregnant is much higher. And with positive pregnancy tests, you are going to have your little bundle of joy in nine months (or less). So enjoy, don't worry, and schedule that first prenatal appointment with your doctor!

Throwing lots of baby dusts your way! Goodluck!

I doubt three tests would come out positive and be wrong. I doubted it to when I took my two tests but I went and took one at the doctors and it too came out positive. I felt much better hearing it from someone else. So make that appointment and take the test Girl! Congrats!

If all three are positive congrats youre pregnant. Go to the doctor soon theyll do a test to reconfirm what you know and do a battery of routine test to ensure youre healthy and your baby is. Go ahead and pick yourself up some OTC prenatal vitamins and some extra folic acid and good luck.

I was told by a dr that there is no such thing as a false positive - only false negative. I had the same question to my dr. Specially with 3 test. Congrats!!!

Tests are usually about 99.9% accurate, and the chances are having a false negative is greater than a false positive. I have taken many pregnancy tests and never had a false readout, so I think you can start celebrating.
Congrats

When I first found I was pregnant I wondered the same thing, but congrats you are pregnant there is no way that all 3 tests were false.Schedule your doc apt and start your prenatal care. Good Luck and take care.
