They think it makes them sound tough and grown-up but it actually makes them sound like they have very few words in their vocabulary especially if they curse every other word!

I don't know why really. I admit that i curse a bit too much. A lot of people will blame it on people not having a strong vocabulary but thats not true. I know plenty of people who have quite an extensive vocabulary but have the foulest mouth ever.

Because they are too thick to think of proper words. It's also to keep their mouths moving to prevent their brains from working.

because when they get uspset they cannot control what to say..so they swear. (but u mean 'Swear' instead of curse it sounds better)

I think because sometimes our emotions overwhelm us. Sometimes you need to release some energy when you are angry, upset or really happy. I just don't think that if you are really angry that an expression such as "Oh poop!" is going to cut it.

because the belief system that four letter words are naughty is ridiculous and outdated - puritanical even.

Sometimes you get your point across better, if you're extremely mad it sounds a little silly to say "Sally, I'm really mad at that person!"
