Please advise how you feel about the point system?

I think it works prettw well, however I think drivers and owners should be rewarded for qualifying also. So I think the pole position should be worth 20 points 2nd 15, 3rd 8, 4th 7, 5th 6, 6th 5, 7th 4, 8th 3, 9th 2, 10th 1. Then you'll see some really good crew chiefs. No sandbaggers.

I'm not sure about ensuring the top 35 teams a starting spot making it hard for a new team to qualify for a race (I'm a throw-back to the days of the independent driver), the winner should get extra points, and no bonus points awarded for leading a lap under caution, but otherwise it's a pretty fair system. To those who don't understand the system, it goes like this- 175 points for 1st place, dropping 5 points for 2nd-5th, dropping by 4 points for 6th-10th, 11th on back drops 3 points per spot. Also, 5 bonus for anyone who leads 1 lap and 5 additional points to the driver leading the most laps.

Overall I think it is a good concept. I do enjoy the chase for the cup. I would change a few things though, first I would award atleast 10 points for the pole sitter. There should also be more points awarded for winning the race (the points still need to show that being in the top 10 is important but winning is the goal) And instead of any the top 10 and any driver within 400 points of the leader to be in the chase, it should be 500 to make the chase harder and more competitive.

i'm so torn about this.. i mean, it allowsw people to never win a race, but still make the chase and people who win races be out of the chase.. it's all about the timing of your wins..
i mean, it's done quite a bit for the sport, and i do like it on somedays..but other days, like when jeff is sitting 12th..yeah, not so much, LOL.
i mean, i think it's probably a good set-up, and i think the driver's are starting to really come around to it..so as long as the 24 and 20 are in..i'm good.

I like it but there should be points for top 5 qualifying as well

I think the system is OK. It's really awesome, though, when Jr's in the top 10! LOVE Dale Jr.!! :)

I actually like it..... kind of. I think that some things are a littly "iffy" but I don't know that much about it, so I'm not sure.
