Absolutely. Jack Nicholson and those two freaky dead little girls scared the crap out of me. Plus, Shelly Duvall looked absolutely terrified in the movie. I don't think that was acting. That *hit was real terror!

While The Shining is a great classic horror movie, my ultimate horror movie is The Last House On The Left. It's the most brutal and entertaining horror movie that I've ever seen.

And for all the people that are saying SAW is the best....come on, people. NO, it is NOT. If you want to see something more brutal than saw, go and try to rent Cannibal Holocaust. You'll be sh.i.t.ting your pants in sheer terror.

Great film, Did not get it at first viewing but the more I watch it the better it gets.

http://angryalien.com/0504/shiningbunnies.html is the direct link to The Shining

OMG! The Shining SUCKED as a horror movie. It's a great story that was ruined! I actually laughed through the whole movie. THe only part that scared me in the slightest was when Scatman Caruthers got the axe in the gut... and that was a cheap scare that was more startling than scary. I watch that movie if I want a good laugh, not to be scared.

Close to it. The best performance Jack Nicholson ever did, in my opinion. However, by today's standards of blood and gore, it is pretty lame to the younger viewers. I still watch it whenever I get the chance.

It certainly is very scary. It's Jack Nicholson - he looks like the devil. That's why you like it so much!
