do not know about the navel but i am sure its difficult to heal cause of wearing clothing that rubs against it during the healing time. tongues do not hurt, i have had mine pierced twice and it was prettty qick and painless. the 5 days after though my tongue swelled and that was uncomforable. i took alot of ibuprofen and sucked on ice alot. i gargled with listeren alot to kill any bacteria. after 5days i was fine.

Navl hurts, not too badly though. Unless it gets infected and closes up, repiercing it hurts so badly. I've heard the tongue does not hurt too much. it's all so fast, you won't feel a thing..........
