Does your BIOS setup know that which is which? When you reboot hit F2 or F8, depending on your computer, and it should take you to your bios settings. Make sure your BIOS knows what to read as master and as the slave.

Go to your control panel, then systems, then hardware details, and make sure your drives are connected correctly.

There shouldn't be a hardware compatiable issue between your lite-on dvdrw and lg-hitachi cd-rw. I think firstly you should download the latest driver from the vendor's website. Then delete all your CDRW and DVDRW drivers on your computer. Plug all the hardware back in place. Reinstalled all the driver again. Hope this will help.
