Call it a superstition of mine, but it has happened throughout the years with me....REALLY.....Now...do I judge a book by its cover? NO! ~ However, the title thing still gets me. No details here, some are very sad....I actually have looked for books with certain titles to insure that I will be alright. (Now am I joking or not?) In any event it's, I think a fair enogh question.

Now that won't work with some books to star with. E.g. 1984, a very well known book, the title leaves you none the wiser - except it is a nightmarish book and you think twice before breeding after you read it. if you are joking or not - God knows and bothers me not. But must confess that I and many others, do sometimes judge books by the cover. whats with that? cant spend this side of eternity (and money) considering which one with serious research each time i happen to be in WH Smith!

Well to be honest, the title, the cover design and the stylization is some indication ( whatever little and whateverlame) of the thoughts of the writer. For example a clean uncluttered cover may communicate something. There have been a few times that i picked up a book by its cover (though i knew about the author) and it turned out to be of my liking.
