I liked it - seen it a lot actually - it still comes on sometimes. I think it is pretty cool since all these very very different people are forced to be together and if it weren't for the detention study hall they had to go to, they would have probably never gotten to know each other. Shows how we can judge people and be so totally wrong is the way I saw it.

it was a great "coming of age" movie in the '80s'. right up there with Ferris Buller and License To Drive. if you've ever seen Not Another Teen Movie you'll notice the library seen is re-enacted and they even recast the correct detention monitor! "if I have to come back in here I'm crackin' skulls" BRILLIANT!

Yeah I've seen it. It's good. It made since to me since I was in school at the time with detention or Saturday school, which to me was just like detention.

love the soundtrack. plus its cool how they all end up getting along and then at the end go their separate ways. good movie

L loved it when it came out....But I was alot younger then....I really thought Molly Ringwald was hot.... :-)
