C Tragic Flaw.

This happens in many Greek myths, such as in Theseus and the Minotaur, when Theseus returns to his homeland with a black flag raised, forgetting to change it to a white one. This causes his father to kill himself in despair. His tragic flaw was forgetfulness.

Hope this helps.

Tragic flaw, that certain something in an otherwise good person that leads to his/her downfall and ultimate demise. Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Othello, and Antony are good examples.
