l grew up in Albany, its a good, safe, family town. Winters can
be a bit tough but summers more than balance it out.
Downtown has a few problems, mostly regarding parking &
all the construction work being done.
Albany is a working class town with large numbers of state & city workers. Personel crime is low & we have one of the nations
lowest commute times. The city itself has many residential neighborhoods & just north of Albany is Saratoga county , which
has become a growing suburb especially around Clifton Park.

Depending on what you mean by good. If you are looking for something that is super fast paced and all that, Albany definitely is not the place for you. However, if you want something that is not as fast paced as NY city but it is not in the middle of nowhere either, Albany is the place for you both to live and to work

I don't know about the crime rate, but bet it is low. It is too cold to commit a crime.
