For me it's getting up at dawn to go out and do something memorable. I love the colours and the mist that you get in the summer mornings

I'm so with you on the colors thing!

I don't work during the summer, yet oddly enough, I still wake up at the crack of dawn.......or before. I now live up on the crest of a hill. To look out over the hills in the horizon and see the sun rising.......magical! The pinks, blues, purples and reds all blending together with the clouds intermingled inbetween. Somehow this site is just that much sweeter in the summer when you know you have the whole day before you. No pressures......no worries.....no schedules. So you sit and stare and think and ponder for as long as you care to. That is the best thing about summer!

I have a theory that a person's level of relaxation is inversely proportional to the weight and volume of stuff on their feet. I feel happier in summer because you can't underestimate the freedom of moving around without taking things on and off my feet.

And sunlight. Whatever the temperature, I like it when the world is shiny

Barbecue stains on my shirt, sweat on my nads, the smell of B.O., the slimy crud that develops at my buttcrack, the scuzzy stuff that develops at my fat folds, wearing my tank tops so I can air out my pits for everyone to smell, being able to relieve myself outdoors without getting cold, the smell of rotting feces and animal carcasses in the summer heat. Man, I love summer!

It can get so hot and humid that you miss and forget what winter was like and when it is winter you hope for summer :-)).

The trees, the flowers, the sound of children playing, eating ice cream, drinking a cool lager, washing blowing on the line, camping at weekends, sleeping with windows open etc etc etc
.......but then there's bees & wasps, stuffy offices, cranky children, road works, traffic jams etc etc etc
.......however there's glorious sunsets, pending holidays.....I could go on and on, but won't

*BBQs
*Hanging out with friends at the beach on warm evenings.
*Camping
*Random days out where my friends and I all just jump in a car and go somewhere!

The summer is also the only time of the year that I don't have any coursework!

The sound of jackhammers and other construction equipment. Somehow it just brings back good memories of carefree childhood summer days.
