During the week in Prospect Park there are many many Asian Brides and Grooms being photographed throughout the park. Today, Monday June 11th we saw 8 Brides?

Today we went for a beautiful walk in beautiful prospect park and saw tons of lovely Asian Brides? I thought It was interesting that there were so many brides having their photos taken on a monday afternoon? I understand why they are getting married and that they have chosen a wonderful day and place to take pictures. And of course I wished them well, however I just got curious what particular cultural tradition was occuring?

Probably because they are either natural citizens of the country, or they have immigrated to the U.S. Now they live in that area and are getting married!! Bridal parties usually have a photo session. What is so strange about the fact that it is happening in Prospect park in Brooklyn. Beautiful, attractive park!! If you saw so many, I hope you took the time to wish them well.

Most likely, they travel from Sheepshead Bay to Prospect Park. The reason Prospect Park - the gardens there are beautiful. And it's the closest big park near them. For sure, they wouldn't take photographs at Canarsie Pier.

Prospect park and the botanical gardens have many beautiful backdrops for photos. Also many weddings are at botanical gardens.
I had my bridal pictures taken in Staten Island botanical garden, it was a sunny day and for years in planning I was praying for sunny day :-) The family appreciated it because they got to walk around and enjoy the gardens and took their own photos before the receiption.
It's becoming very populular rather than a studio with fake backdrop.
