02 Dodge Durango SLT-V8 5.9L , So it gave me the engine light took it to the shop, plug in the Comp. to it, Code read---PO171, look it up ask arround, dought everyone is given different opinions about what it could be?
P.S. Had the Pistons already cleaned out, oil change filters,Motor is clean, checked all hoses and connections could find the problem........Still no luck, I have no idea what to do now, ready to junk this car!!
Please Help?????????

Code P0171 means that the system is too lean. I.E., you are getting too much air and not enough fuel.
There are several problems that could relate to this. The ECU could be trashed, which is the most expensive likely problem.
Your injectors could also be clogged.
There is a sensor in the intake path - the mass air flow sensor - that measures air flow. It could be blocked or destroyed.

calm down buddy po171 means ur fuel system is runing too lean..... take it to someone whos knows...it has nothing to do with the pistons.... u need to check out why ur fuel system is running lean
