have you ever been outside in 110 degree heat?
have you ever heard that quote from mrs. doubtfire "i'm melting like a snow cone in phoenix?" that pretty much sums it up regarding the heat that we experience in this state.
it's very uncomfortable, and people often get heat stroke if they don't drink enough water. (especially the outdoor workers here)

I am a native of Arizona and I can honestly say that I HATE summers here! It is way too hot and going outside is such a chore! I will never get used to the heat. You can basically burn your hands on your steering wheel if you don't park your car in a shaded area. If you look at the street closely, you can see heat rising from the ground. All the other months - October to April are gorgeous and that's the only time I truly appreciate Arizona. Although I also must add that I am grateful that we don't experience humidty like other states do - now THAT would be pure hell.

While I don't love the 110+ degree days, I don't mind it either. 3 months of HOT days and nights, and then 9 months of 70 degrees day is pretty great. Of course, I have a shaded parking spot at home and at work so that makes it that much more bearable.

Of course, I'm long used to the summer heat, I grew up in Las Vegas, NV which is no spring picnic either during the summer either.

I'll tolerate the heat for a couple of months. I consider that to be like the six months of winter in Michigan.

I've been in AZ so long I'm used to the heat. However, I really still do not like getting in my baking hot car. That has to be the worst.

I don't like it, but it is tolerable for the couple of months it occurs. The weather the rest of the year makes up for it.

well if you do take a walk after being in an air conditioned building it feels good. but if you are playing a sport or something, then it is bad.
