Join the military? Support his grand idea in an ultimate way. I served between 1995-1999, and would not do it again in this day and age. So Bush supporters please join the military, they are down in numbers and need your help.

That is just it honey. The armed forces are a great service, but I do not see how someone can sign up, in Bush's forces.

This is something I have been saying for years. I used to go to this political chat room on AOL and man it was brutal. BUT, I could always shut them up by saying, "What r u doing here - if you believe in what he is doing so much, then join the military and go help?"

I used to think I was for national mandatory service until this war. I mean maybe it there was a concious objector option. All I know is: I did my time during Gulf War I and if I had been called up to go to this war, I'd be living in Canada right now. This war has made murderers out of us all if you ask me.

Already served, long time ago. Would again, but I'm too old and my MOS probably isn't needed in the war - it was not in a fighting capacity.

And the military is hitting all their recruiting targets, so I'm not sure where your 'facts' eminate from.
------------------------------------------
The article you cite as the source of the 'fact' of not meeting quotas is a single anecdote about one high school where parents have their panties in a twist about military recruiters. That does not support your low recruitment statement.

You truly have no idea how to present a cogent argument with supporting facts. That's sad.

As for that idiotic 'Bush is destroying America' parroting, it has nothing to do with your question. It's just a stupid non sequiter.

The sad thing is that recruitment is a little low because of all the negative propaganda from the leftists, who are intent upon destroying this country.

10 years before you joined for your single stint in the military.... other people said the same thing you are saying now.... "How could you join the military now that Ronald Reagan is President.... don't you know he has his finger on the button"?

I joined the military during the tenure of Ronaldus Maximus and lived to tell the tale across 3 more Presidents including the incumbent. Further... since my last AD in Kuwait, I am now in Iraq as a civilian. So.... Bush supporters have been and are in the military. Thank you for encouraging patriotism across the land... your effort will not go unoticed or unappreciated.

Actually I was thinking more along the lines of national mandatory service. It might be good to get all those marching students and college kids into the military for a few years.

I'm sorry but I've aged out and did my service for the government already.

But I'm curious; do they pay you to rag on Bush? How much? Is it a good gig?

Yeah it must have been great as Clinton was taking all your equipment and funding away - he was a real hero, I can see why you respected him so much.

Let me ask you -

I know the surplus was important for him because he sucked at everything else, but why do you think he had to make cuts in the military and intel services 5 straight years AFTER 9/11?

And why don't we ever see that on the 9/11 looney tune conspiracy videos that you socialists spin out everyday?

I'm sorry. Was this suppost to be a question? It seems to me that it's just another attempt for someone to critize our President. We get about 500 of these a day ya know. It get's really old and after awhile no one cares anymore. I wonder what you thought would happen with your little "post"? Did you think it would insight people to ban against the powers that be? Did you think it would presuade would be next generation voters into voting more appealing to you? I truely hope you didn't sink too much time into it. You see this is yahoo answers. We ask and answer questions here, this is not a forum to discuss political views.

I served under Bush Sr. and Clinton. Clinton is one of the main reasons that I got out. At least W. has respect for and from the military. Clinton only saw us as a joke.

I would but at 52 I don't think they would allow it. I served in the Navy for 6 years and proud of it too.

If you aren't willing to serve again (u wouldnt even have to be trained or anything!) and are openly saying that then how can you expect others who you are begging to serve to sign up? Wow ur stupid!
