Spider-Man....hands down. I've been a comic fan since I was 9 (I'm 34 now!!!) and Spidey has always been on the top of my list. He's the most "real" superhero there is. He has money problems, job problems, relationship problems, and even when he's in costume, he still has problems. Thanks to the one and only J. Jonah Jameson, there are still people that think your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is as much a menace as the villians he fights. All in all, Spidey is the one superhero that most of us can relate to.

Also, no one banters with super-villians better than the web-head.

Sgt Frank Castle, AKA the Punisher! He frikkin rocks! He is one of only a few non-powered main characters in the Marvelverse. He does what so many of us have wanted to do at one time or another- blow up a neighborhood drug house, shoot a serial rapist, kill a murderer, punch/kick the crap out of vandals and purse snatchers, and blow the ever loving crap out of all the terrorists, unrepetant criminals, and evil minded people! He takes justice directly to the guilty, and while yes his methods and punishment is incredibly Draconian, he has a method to what he does, and its great to see the real life villians (drug dealers, rapists, murderers, child molestors, thieves, robbers, terrorists, etc) get a serious smack down.

And another thing- in the Garth Ennis written one shot called 'The Punisher kills the Marvel Universe' Frank Castle does what no super villain has ever come close to accomplishing: he hunts down and kills every super powered being on the planet, good and bad. Sure, it was a 'What if?' style alternate universe story, but still...not bad for a former marine with no super powers.

Also, Castle not only defeated but beat the stuffing out of Spider-man, Daredevil, and Wolverine in the 'Confederacy of Dunces' story arc. Castle has beaten Parker and Wolverine on other occassions, and he has also gone to toe to toe with Sgt Nick Fury, Captain America, and Doc Samson, winning every time.

The Punisher is the baddest of the bad!

Wolverine. Because is smaller and weaker than most of the villains that he goes up against, yet he is a force to be reconned with and his ferocity is feared by all. Also he is a complex character that has taken decades to fully develop and he is still not complete. No Marvel game exists without Wolverine and he has spawned numerous comics on himself.

That would be a tie between Wolverine and Captain America. Cap for who he is--Truth, Justice and the American Way. Wolvie for style and attitude, hands down. Also because he's short.
Cap needs a great writer like Chris Claremont to take charge of him, so everyone will know that Captain America is the best there is at what he does.

I would have to say Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man. He has so much potential. He can send his duplicates out to learn new skills and knowledge. So he can live his life like normal, and then he can reabsorb the dupes and gain their memories. He could experience so many things during his lifespan, and use all he has learned to be anything. Also, he's got a great sense of humor. And looks good naked. And doesn't have a drug problem. And he doesn't need to kiss puppies to get his jollies.
