"Wife swap" was the original in my understanding, it was a British show well before "Trading Spouses".
I find the editing in trading spouses way overdone, they should let the footage flow more like wife swap does.
P.S. how was that crazy fat religious chick in trading spouses! The one from near New Orleans! Jeesus...

yeah, trading spouses, at the end, dont they get all that money? wife swap ends the show with the transfer of a few mean words between the 2 families, and thats it.

I agree with olemissloper about the episode where the overly religious obese woman kept freaking out about the gargoyles and the star on the barn and everything else she saw that wasn't 100% pro Christian. It was hysterical, especially in the end where she got mad at the camera crew and tried to kick them out and tore up her check, screaming that it was the work of the devil and so on.....at the end of the show, we got to read a little tidbit that eventually she accepted the check because the letter had included instructions that part of it was to be used for some surgery for her to get her stomach stapled or something like that.

they both seem the same to me, but whatever one is on at the time i'll watch, if it doesn't conflict with my other program schedual. but if they're on at the same time, i'll watch them both at the same time. but i guess if i had to choose, it would be Trading Spouses, just because it's spouses, so they can trade either or.
