More military firepower.

The CO2 emissions produced by the US aren't just to feed US consumption. Our main export is agricultural products the world depends upon for food. Farming takes a high energy capacity and fortunately the U.S. has the expertise and very fertile soil. Also some developing countries that are just now developing power generating operations would benefit from our guidance of where we went wrong so they won't make the same mistakes. Much of our infrastructure is already existing and will be replaced by lower pollution producing power plants. So basically much of the CO2 produced by the US is not just our CO2 it's the CO2 produced by the world consumption of our goods.

Imagine all the *friends* you'll make in France and elsewhere! I'm debating whether it's even worth answering any of the C02/Greenhouse rants.
Once again. The carbon in coal, oil, natural gas, etc...came from the atmosphere. Plants thrived in the process of removing it. Burn all the fossil fuels and things will warm up, little doubt about that.
A warmer, humid planet with higher sea-levels, burgeoning plant life and no perpetual glaciation will not put an end to human life. We're not all going to asphyxiate from higher C02 levels - theres not enough stuff out there to burn. We're not going to turn the Earth into Venus - remember plants put the carbon where it is.
What gives us the right to preach? Go to a third-world country with no money and try to make a life for yourself. Some ways of life are better than others, some ideas are better than others, some countries are better than others. Get over it.

Here's why America has the right to preach to the world:
1. We fund many countries besides our own. Some of the countries that are most vocal about US Policy receive much funding from the government they criticize.
2. We are the only remaining superpower.
3. We fund the United Nations at a rate higher than any other member country.
It's about putting your money where your mouth is. I think that if we stopped financing everything we finance, we'd have to close our mouths. But it's the golden rule...she who has the gold makes the rules.

Good question. We are a large country. Some of our people, yes, we recognize them as such, go out to the forefront spouting what is not necessarily what every last one of us thinks.
Example: A congressman got up in the House, I think after the civil war, and said to a worthy colleague; Samson slew a thousand men with the jawbone of an ***. You, sir, give proof that same jawbone is still slaying men to -day.

Would you rather us not say anything and let countries run amuck and start emitting pollutants at a rate comparable to ours? How about you start careing about the environment for once in your life? You obviously don't now if this is what you spend your free time doing, ranting on things you know nothing about. If you cared about the environment, you wouldn't care who said it as long as it was said.
These kid's rantings are starting to get annoying.

Where did you get that number? China and India are both the major culprits for greenhouse gas/pollution production by over a factor of 5.

Preaching about what? Give some examples so that more effective counter points can be made.
