I'm still a virgin, actually, for the simple reason that I'm not ready for sex. I'm nineteen.
Personally, I think you're ready when you're ready to accept the responsibilities that go along with it (birth control, etc.).

I would wait until you are married. in today's world it is way to scary to even risk having sex with all of the diseases and the risk of pregnancy.
