Such as when trying to open emails, and they will not open. All you will see in a blank box with a red X in the corner.

Not sure what you mean. All webpages have HTML as their base. As for PDF, you can purchase Acrobat to create your own or use some of the free tools that can convert from Word to PDF like PrimoPDF.

If I am understanding the question, you are asking for a website that will allow you to post pdf and html files. ANY website should allow that. In fact the website IS an html file. And if you upload pdf files and create a link on the site to them, anyone can download them. So find yourself a good free site (geocity or tripod or whatever) and go for it.
