i have some acne scars from when i was younger and would like to find a good foundation to use to cover these a little better.

I have used Estee Lauder concealer. It works great. It's more expensive but worth it. Plus Estee Lauder doesn't test on animals.

i use dinair airbrush makeup and it covers up everything making my skin flawless...they have a product called perfect skin and it fills scars back up to skin level and then when you airbrush over it they disappear...their makeup is also all water based so it is not bad for my skin...ive been using it for a long time now and its wonderful...i hope i helped =)
