Did you love it? Did you hate it? Just want to see what everyone else is thinking. I enjoyed moments of the awards, but was glad that I Tivo'd.
Loved the scene from "Jersey Boys"!

i started watching about 2 hours in, so i missed some of the teasers, but i thought it wasn't that interesting. waaaaay too many commercials, and they didn't manage to work up enough excitement for the awards. the presenters didn't prep enough, and other than the general theme of nostalgia, there was nothing that held the show together. definitely not my favorite tony ceremony.
also, i just didn't think many of the shows this year were that good.

Last night was the first time in my life I have ever watched the Tonys. Never much cared for live theater or musicals. I have always been, however, a big fan of The 4 Seasons. I was pulling for "Jersey Boys" and was ecstatic that it won best musical. It's about time real rock 'n roll got some real respect!
It was great to see the three surviving original members on stage again. I thought guitarist Tommy DeVito looked especially good. (He turns 78 next Monday!) Of course, I would have loved to see them perform with the cast. Anyway, that was the only reason I watched the entire show and I doubt I'll ever watch it again.

I though it was pretty good, but I wish they had had a few more preformances. Sweeny Todd seemed really wierd. But the Threepenny Opera I thought was really cool in an artiste way. But overall I have to say the Jersey Boys were the best too. Shame they didn't let "Lestat" do a scene. I know it bombed, but I saw it and thought it was really good, but then I'd read The Vampire Cronicles. Caramee Carmello was amazing in it, so was Hugh Parenero. Oh well that's showbiz.

I hate all of the awards shows. Too much congratulating eachother for being kings of the universe. Do they have an award show FOR awards shows, yet? I wouldn't be surprised...

I don't know. I was watching the NBA Finals and laughing it up as Dallas kicked Miami's big butted team all around the court.
