i have a 84 chevy and i have purchased blue dots for the brake lights that are inserted into the lens by drilling a hole and inserting them in that hole,thing is i dont want to do all this work,putting on the blue dots and get pulled over cause theyre not legal...i heard that they were not legal in texas???

i dont know about texas but there are several other states they are not legal with - so if you travel outside texas at all it would not be a smart thing to do!

Here's the deal .... the law most likely varies from county to county or city to city, not state wide. I had neon installed on the underneath of my car. I could drive in my city like that, and in the city I work in, but there are city ordinances against it in the cities I need to drive through to get to work and back home again. It sucked.

that is open to interpurtation...the law in texas states the len/cover must not be broken...it used to say no white light must escape. but people were using red and amber tape to make repairs...so they changed the law to stop that.

in all 50 states they are illegal.people behind you may not see your brake lights jusy thinking they are running lights and plow into your rear end.it could cost you in a wreck or getting pulled over

i don't know, i live in texas and i know that light covers are illegal, so i wouldn't be suprised that the lights might be illegal.
