just want to state ( i went to see the race this past weekend at POCONO ) that all you anti-gordon fans that CHEERED when he went into the wall are sick. he could have been seriously injured... i cant tell you how many people were cheering//laughing. it really turned me off to going to any more races. some NASCAR fans are real drunk a**holes that dont appreciate the sport at all. my question is--

Why not go to a race to cheer on your driver- rather than BASH other drivers.? it really made my experience horrible. not to mention i drove over 400 miles to see Gordon//and look what happened...

*ps all you who hate him, just go ahead and post your anti-gordon remarks. i just report them anyway. this is for real fans.

i'm a huge jeff fan, and just kind of stopped breathing for a few seconds..
some people are ignorant and just need beat..
i blame this on another crew cheif screw up.. you should know that you need a good brake setup at that place.. good gravy. i hope monday morning meeting someone kicks his ***.. ugh, and i hope it's jeff.
laughing is just not cool people. sure it's fun to see your least favorite driver cut a tire and smash his front end and wreck the aerodynamics and lose a race..but to smack the wall that hard, b/c of a loss of breaks is just uncalled for. seriously, how can you have a hate for a man so much you have never met?? Good gravy.. i'm sure jeff doesn't sit there at night praying for your demise.. i mean, really, he hit that wall at almost 200 mph..hello, he smashed the safer barrier in.. do you know how hard of a hit that is?? i wann see you do that and still laugh, cuz two cents says it won't be so funny then.
i'm so glad he got out of that car and wlaked on away i figured he'd at least be taken to the hospital and be found with a concussion..but awesomely enough..he's doing alright. good to know.
as for people at the track..i've been a gordon fan since he hit the busch series.. i've seen the hate grow and only get worse through the years..you learn to shrug it off and know that ignorance that bad has to hurt..

Really sorry that that happened. I'm not a Gordon fan, but I was very sorry for him, and afraid. I did want a caution really bad, so when I saw that a car had hit the wall, I clapped my hands and made a happy sound. Then I stopped because:
1. I realized it was a bad wreck.
2. I saw it was Jeff Gordon.
I felt terrible. My brother's a Gordon "fan" and I apologized to him because he was there when I got excited, and because I felt bad enough. I also apologize to you. I was very relieved to see him get out of that car on his own. I think it's awful that some people are like that. I saw a picture of people celebrating at the Busch race when Stewart wrecked. I don't like him, but I wasn't happy that he wrecked. Very sorry that you had a bad experience, I hope that the next time is better.

Go Greg Biffle!

I don't hate Jeff Gordon. In fact, even though he's not my favorite driver, I was sorry to see him crash into the wall. Nobody wants to be in that position, and I'm not an idiot enough to cheer when he goes down. Because, it happens to all the drivers once in a while when they have bad luck (like my fave driver Tony Stewart and his broken shoulder). Plus, Jeff's never done anything to ME to make me hate him, so why would I cheer when he has trouble? I agree with what you said...cheer for who you like and don't bash people you don't like. That's how the true fans do it.

My driver is Mark Martin. I am not a Jeff Gordon fan! I have gone to several pocono races. If you were in the infield, then you would know that infield is know for partying. I do agree that sometimes the drinking and the roudiness can get out of control in the stands. I do have to say that i enjoyed that Gordon crashed, but i would hate to see anyone get hurt.

It seems to happen at all tracks. I am not a Gordon Fan at all, but when he or any other driver hit the wall I have to pray. I may not like him but how would I feel if he was really hurt or died . God Forbid. I wonder if any of these people think about how they would feel after that.

As you know, I don't like Jeff, but I would never want to see him or anyone else get seriously injured. It is really messed up that people were cheering when he crashed. It really scared me when I saw him hit the wall that hard and I was so relieved when I saw him climb out. But he is fine and everything, so I am kinda happy about the whole thing now, it dropped him out of the top 10

It amazes me how any other sport in this country if someone is injured people don't cheer. They only clap and kinda cheer when the person indicates they are ok. What does that say for some of these fans that they cheer when someone is hurt.

Although I am not a Gordon fan at all...but I am a fan of his teammate Jimmie Johnson...my heart skipped a beat when I saw the wreck. It's pure ignorance for people to cheer when someone could've died!
