abused as a child? What happened? Did you get counseling or are you just "over it" --- are you okay now? I'm not asking because I was. I just hear all these stories - and I was curious how many people this happens to. Are you in the U.S.?

I live in the US.
I was physically,sexually, and emotionally abused by a man who married my grandmother. My grandparent got a divorce. She married him. He has done it to one of my girl cousins too.
I thought I had gotten over it. But did not. I feared men who looked similar to him.
I was also physically and emotional abused by an ex boyfriend. Use to beat me and tell me I was nothing without him
Did not get help for either.

In india 95% teachers abuse childs physically and emotionally. Poverty and ignorance are main reason.

Emotionly, sexually and physically by my mother's boyfriends, got counseling, still have emotional scars, probally always will.
