It's a bugger-- i have a bad case of it on my chest and arms
I bought calamine lotion today but to be honest it's not taking the itch away
Other than keeping it cool with a cold flannel nothing else is working
I feel for ya

The other answers here will only provide temporary local (topical) symptomatic relief. When your skin gets hot again.. back will come the prickly heat. The only solution is to take anti-histamines. You can buy them over any pharmacy counter and will have an effect within a few hours. Keep taking them in hot and sunny weather if you are prone to sun allergy (the cause of prickly heat).
