I think that it is a really bad idea to put all your info. online where anyone can see it. What do you think???

There are ways to get around passwords, and stuff like that, so even if the profile is set to privet, you can get around it. One of my family members works with computers and he said that there are many ways to get around passwords and privet settings. That is why I don't have one. Cause people can get into privet settings easily.

A friend of mine recommended myspace as soon as she knew I had DSL. I tried out the site and I saw nothing that I was interested in and my thoughts are only a matter of opinion, but I have no desire to go to myspace ever again. My friend wanted to know what I thought and she swears by it and I just told her the same as I am saying here, and if you enjoy it and someone else does not, that is your business, the same as if someone enjoyed a movie, book, or even a different religion, but they are still your friend.

MySpace is a rip-off of the orginal Geocities. If Yahoo had half a brain they would have come out with some improvements on Geocities about 2-3 years ago when I know it was pitched to their Sr. Management.
Putting your personal information online is fine as long as you don't provide stuff like DOB and City that you where born in or street you where born on because those are standard security questions for major sites like Amazon.

I think people should be careful about how much personal info they provide online. MySpace is no different than any free or pay site where you can meet people. I think MySpace is getting a bad rep due to the media and our gov't b/c they want to see it shut down. It just takes common sense to not publish your entire life online for the world to see, not gov't involvement.

You don't have to do anything if you don't want to. The kids that put their pictures online- that's their business. You can choose to put your profile private, so I don't see it as a problem.

I think it is a good site, just watch out for porn stars wanting to be your friend and don't write what you don't want people to know.
