Do I need to keep the iPod Updater installed on my system?

I want to uninstall the program if it doesn't affect iTunes or my iPod software. I'm not sure what it does so any info about it and whether I need to keep it would be helpful.

it will keep your iPod up-to-date on the software.
and no you cant unistall it
