You are correct. WWE is fake.

But, who says everything entertaining has to be real? I am a personal fan of WWE, and I used to watch it almost religiously. (*enter dreamy sigh about John Cena Here*).

Even if it is fake, the injuries they sustain *ARE* real. The effort and time it took for them to get the way they are *ARE* real.

In a sense, WWE is real. Now, it's about 10% realisim, 90% acting.

It's all good American fun. I don't want to watch something that's real 24/7.

Why do you think I watch Reality TV shows? (AMERICAN IDOL COUNTS. IT'S FIXED. ALL LIES!) Survivor, Big brother, American Idol, WWE, it's all fake, but entertaining! :)

Ok, you got my attention! Now, let's go through the procedure for a wrestling match: sometimes a match is fully choreographed and sometimes it is completely improv with only the ending being fixed, a road agent tells you what to "basically" do and how much time it should take, the promos and interviews aren't fixed (the agent tells you what to "basically sy, but it's up to you to come up with the words), and, finally, you discuss very lightly with your opponent what high spots you want to try. So if you actually think that the entire match is fixed and all the aspects of professional wrestling are 100% fake, then ask yourself why they're getting paid? If everything is fake and 100% fixed, then why not hire me or you to wrestle? The answer is simply that it is not 100% fake at all. Think before you speak!

I think that this is the most stupid question about wrestling that someone can do. Obviously most of the punches and kicks are not real, if they were... at least we would have in the news 2 wrestlers dead per show.

But you know, human being is not perfect and there are some wrestlers that takes things too serious and sacrifice themselves and do some moves that can hurt them or their opponents. I've been watching wrestling since I was 9 years old, and I love, I respect the guys and I think that is the same or more entertaining that NFL, NBA or MLB and most of the soap operas and movies out there.

I agree with you to an instinct. Yeah, wrestling made be fake, but the injuries are not, nor is the blood the bleed on their forehead when they bladed themselves, when they get hit with a chair, but sometimes the do actually get hit when a wrestler messes up. Also, the glass in cars are real, Eddie actually revealed that in his book but you got to figure it out what part wouldn't cause a major cuts. The storylines are fake because it's entertainment. I know because I been watching wrestling for 16 years. So, I have to be neutral on this situation.

WWE stands for "World Wrestling Entertainment"...that speaks volumes on its own. Olympic & freestyle and Folk are actual styles of wrestling, then in the Mixed Martial Arts World its grappling. Very few in the WWE or ECW would last long in MMA or with a grappler who knew his stuff. Remember, Ken Shamrock tried to be in the WWE but there was to many concerns for him, and he had to resist opening up on the guys. I myself have been doing both Freestyle as well as grappling since I was about 10yrs old...I still teach and train guys. But this is real wrestling/grappling...nothing fake here!!!

Your a smart fart. Of course WWE is fake, however, so is daytime Soap Operas, but you don't see that stopping all the fat unemployed lazy women from sitting in front of the TV eating cheese puffs watching that do ya?? Its just for entertainment, if you don't like it. You don't have to watch it. Plain and Simple.

Absolutely agree with you. They even admitted it themselves, when the State of NJ wanted them to pay a large Sporting Event fee, they claimed that they were entertainment not sports.
