Why does it matter? Isn't her religion her personal concern? I do not know if she did or did not, but I do not think it makes a difference in her story. She was kidnaped; her translator and dear friend was killed; she loves Iraq and its people; and she's a good and professional journalist. In the end, she returned to her family alive. That's all I need to know.
