A good friend of mine has a theory about the 2004 election that is absolutely brilliant:

You know how Bush used the fact that he was a born-again Christian to rally the religious base... well my friend also believes that the ppl behind Bush came up with the idea and production of 'The Passion of Christ' movie in order to manipulate voters.

I mean think about it. There was an enormous amount of hype around it at the time and that was just months before the election. I know some Christians who now say that is their all time favorite movie. That movie ignited a religious 'passion' just before the election.

Man, it just amazes me how we all were manipulated by the Bush administration.

That's interesting. Maybe there is a connection.

I don't know about Bush. Is he pernicious, or righteous?

He and his cousin, John Kerry, are members of the 'skull and bones' organization.

But you know what...it wouldn't have made any difference in the elections. In wartime, the President automatically gets in office for the next term. Most people don't realize that.

Most people also fail to know that it's not we, the people, who elect our President- it's the electoral college. That's why I don't bother voting. There is no point!

I know Bush claims to be a Christian man- but some things I have learned make me wonder about him.

Okay...for example, did you know that Bush has ties to the Bin Laden family? I don't know if the government (the US Government) was really behind the terrorist attacks on 9/11- I doubt we will ever know the truth. But still, I can't help but wonder why they shipped off all the evidence overseas.

You do know that the movie had been in production for at least a year before that, right? Movies, especially one of that size of production, take at least a year to make, if not two to three. Politicians can't predict 1 to 2 years in advance, so they couldn't do something like that. You give politicians way too much credit, no matter what political party.

That makes no sense. Didn't Michael Moore's documentary come out about the same time? And what about all the moveon.org commercials? I think you're friends theory is flawed, but it was an interesting puzzle of thoughts!

As Christ, I can tell you that that is actually the fullness of the reason why i died at the cross, its the same as why the romans lost their city not long after i died. these coincidences are very godly, like 20 times the gravitation of what your brain is meant for in these moments of audacity. so ur not crazy, but begin to think of this as a phase in the multi-phasic art of being a good voter :)
